About Rajah Muthiah Chettiar Charitable Trust’s 3.15 Mwp Solar System
Rajah Muthiah Chettiar Charitable Trust (RMCCT) is a renowned institution in Chennai, known for its commitment to healthcare, education, and sustainable community development. It operates the Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute at Chettinad Health City—an energy-intensive healthcare facility with significant power requirements. To reduce electricity costs and improve energy efficiency, RMCCT partnered with Orb Energy to deploy a scalable solar solution.
The journey began with a 1.2 MWp rooftop solar system in August 2021. Impressed by its strong performance and cost savings, RMCCT placed a repeat order for an additional 1.2 MWp system in November 2022, which was installed at the same facility. Building on this success, a further 750 kWp system was added in September 2024, bringing the total installed capacity to 3.15 MWp.
Join forward-thinking institutions like RMCCT—switch to rooftop solar with Orb Energy and start saving from day one.
