400 Kilowatt Rooftop Solar System for Best Sellers Apparels, Manipal, Karnataka
Project Details:
About Best Sellers Apparels’s 400 kilowatt Rooftop Solar System
Meet Mr. T. Sachin Pai, Founder, and Managing Director of Best Sellers Apparels. Founded in 2000, Best Sellers has emerged as one of the largest textile companies in Coastal Karnataka, producing a staggering 200,000 jeans per month for renowned brands like Levi’s, Pepe Jeans, Mufti, and many more.
Recognizing the potential of solar energy, Mr. Sachin Pai embarked on a mission to install solar panels on his ample roof space. After meticulous research, he decided to partner with Orb Energy. As Mr Pai explains, he was won over by our unmatched professionalism and transparent approach, leading to the installation of an initial 400-kilowatt rooftop solar system in October 2018.
The results of this first installation exceeded his expectations. Not only did Orb Energy’s rooftop solar solution save Best Sellers Apparels roughly ₹ 55 lakhs ($66k USD) per annum, but it also achieved payback in just 3 years and 8 months. Impressed by this performance, Mr. Pai continued his collaboration with Orb Energy, placing repeat orders for rooftop solar systems that now total more than 2 megawatts.
But Mr Pai’s commitment to sustainability doesn’t end there. A related group company called Canara Land Investments has also procured a 1.7-megawatt (MW) ground-mounted solar system from Orb Energy, as part of Orb’s 35 MW DC solar park in Arsikere, Hassan, Karnataka. This off-site solar solution will now allow Canara Land Investments to offset the power they generate from the solar park against their monthly electricity bill.
“I have installed 2 megawatt across all of my companies from Orb Energy and I would definitely recommend that if anybody has plans to install a solar system then Orb Energy has to be the partner of your choice!”
