About Neelay’s 747 Kilowatt Rooftop Solar System

Neelay Group of Industries, headquatered in Nashik, Maharashtra, has taken a significant step towards sustainability with Orb Energy’s rooftop solar solutions. Neelay initially placed order for a 232 kilowatt rooftop solar system with Orb Energy, which is generating 3.2 lakh units of clean energy annually. Impressed by Orb Energy’s quality of system, in-house solar financing, locally manufactured Orb’s solar panels and exceptional technical and after-sales service, Neelay Industries extended its solar adoption by ordering an additional 390kW system for its sheet metal processing unit and a 125kW system for its switchgear industry in Nashik and Amrawathi.

With a total installed capcity of 747 kilowatt, Neelay is savings of Rs.78 lakhs ($88,000 USD) annually on electricity costs, achieving a payback period of just 3 years and 5 months, while also contributing to the environment by offsetting 935 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year.

“The main reason we chose Orb Energy is that they manufacture their own solar panels and handle installation with their in-house technical team.  Orb also provides flexible solar financing.  After installing rooftop solar from Orb, we found that our savings from rooftop solar were greater than the EMI we pay for Orb’s solar financing.”
