In 2023, Orb Energy commissioned a 500 kWp rooftop solar system for Shinghal Agri Industries in Odisha, a major rice processor producing 1600 quintals per day.
Mr Mukesh, managing director of Shinghal Agri Industries, who decided to improve his competitiveness by turning to rooftop solar to cut his growing electricity bills. Orb Energy’s sales team provided a solar solution along with in-house credit financing.
Shinghal Agri Industries’ rooftop solar system now generate approximately 54,000 units of electricity monthly, savings around ₹4.2 lakhs ($5k USD) per month, with payback period of only 3 years and 2 months.
