900 kilowatt Rooftop Solar System for Lilasons Industries, Aurangabad, Maharashtra

Lilasons Industries Ltd, a leading beverage manufacturer based in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, plays a key role in producing popular brands for Carlsberg India, including Tuborg Strong. With rising energy costs impacting its operations, the company turned to sustainable solutions to improve efficiency.

To address this, Lilasons partnered with Orb Energy, which designed and commissioned a 900 kWp rooftop solar system tailored to the company’s needs.

With an energy cost of just ₹2.21 per kWh, the rooftop solar system is far more economical than grid power at nearly ₹8 per kWh. It generates over 1.3 million units of clean electricity every year, enabling annual savings of about ₹90 lakhs, while also reducing the company’s carbon footprint.

By adopting rooftop solar, Lilasons Industries demonstrates how beverage manufacturers can secure long-term cost efficiency while contributing to a greener future.
